HALESTORM Not Getting Rich Off GRAMMY Win
July 1, 2013HALESTORM was the surprise winner of the Grammy Award in February for "Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance", but singer Lzzy Hale told the Oakland Press that not a lot has changed for the group since their big win. According to The Pulse Of Radio, Hale explained, "It's all been great, but there's a lot of people who are like, 'Wow, they're rich!' No, no, the Grammy didn't come with a million dollars. We just got a statue."
Hale added, "I think the only thing we've really said between ourselves is, 'Maybe we should practice more,' because we have the Grammy and people expect more from us, so maybe we should work on being better musicians."
Hale revealed that she just actually received her official Grammy Award "maybe about a week ago," adding, "It took a while, but for me to actually see it makes it become a little more real."
HALESTORM has been on the road nonstop since not just Grammy Night but going all the way back to the April 2012 release of its sophomore album, "The Strange Case Of…"
The group kicks off a tour as special guests of co-headliners 3 DOORS DOWN and DAUGHTRY this Wednesday (July 3) in Raleigh, North Carolina.
